Ok all, is this software no good for us? The following website gives a great discription of it and it sounds like the speech solution for us.

If anyone has any info, please share. I'm guessing the software doesn't work well for us, otherwise everyone would be talking about it and using it. If I understand the website correctly, the software is only $40?

I'm confused, hopefully someone can explain.

Voice command runs on windows mobile devices, and is a great adition to Mobile speak or Mobile speak smart phone. Many of the windows mobile 6 devices and pocket PC's come with VC already installed. I say it is a great adition because it is great for finding out small things like who is calling or what calls you've missed or even what your next appointment is, and opening applications ETC, but that is the extent of it, so if I say open pocket word, and I have no screen reader to use in conjunction with VC, then the phone is at that point useless, and it wouldn't make much since to purchase a smart phone at that point when the LG phones would offer that much access.

Hmmm interesting. It could be a step process though. Purchase the smartphone and use the microsoft voice command to get you buy, then save up for the mobile speak or whatever. *smile!*

Could be, but it can get rather frustrating. A few months ago, I had to reset my MSS license and just having VC for 3 or 4 days while that was done became extremely annoying. I mean sure it tells you who called and signal strength ETC, but your constantly talking to your phone rather than accessing it through menus and so forth, which I'm sure can be kind of nuts in a public place. Also, unless VC has changed it doesn't have the ability to read out text messages, or contact information.

is this different than voice recognition, that came on my q? I am thinking it probably is, because when i say different things it just says did you say call so and so from my contacts. ? just curious.

IT's a wonderful part of windows mobile. No replacement for a screen reader though.
